Collection: History

Paul Revere (January 1, 1735 [O.S. December 21, 1734]  – May 10, 1818) was an American silversmith and a patriot in the American Revolution. After his death the poet Longfellow made him famous by celebrating his deed of being a messenger in the battles of Lexington and Concord. As a result, his "midnight ride" to warn the people that the British forces were coming is a legendary part of United States history.

Gladys Boalt ornaments are completely handmade in the United States. Their designs are traditional and share unique characteristics. Each face is hand painted and each figure is adorned with hand-sewn, painted, and applied clothing. Every Boalt ornament is signed and copyright dated. In 1980, these wonderful ornaments were selected for the White House Tree by Nancy Reagan thus paving the way for their admission to the Smithsonian.
