Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci (April 15, 1452 – May 2, 1519) was an Italian polymath: painter, sculptor, architect, musician, scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist and writer. Leonardo has often been described as the archetype of the Renaissance Man, a man of "unquenchable curiosity" and "feverishly inventive imagination".[1] He is widely considered to be one of the greatest painters of all time and perhaps the most diversely talented person ever to have lived.
Gladys Boalt ornaments are completely handmade in the United States. Their designs are traditional and share unique characteristics. Each face is hand painted and each figure is adorned with hand-sewn, painted, and applied clothing. Every Boalt ornament is signed and copyright dated. In 1980, these wonderful ornaments were selected for the White House Tree by Nancy Reagan thus paving the way for their admission to the Smithsonian.
