Lucy Callahan opened Peachtree Place in 1985 with the idea of bringing a little Southern charm to the North Shore of Chicago. Seventeen years later, Peachtree Place has grown from the original two to eleven rooms of elegant gifts and decorative accessories. Peachtree Place College Scholarship Fund The Peachtree Place College Scholarship Fund, created in 2000, awards a full college education at Bryant College to a deserving young minority woman. Scholarship candidates are chosen based on their academic scores, financial need, minority status and personal drive to be a college graduate. Currently there is a student in her second year at Bryant College. Once she has earned her degree the search begins for another scholarship candidate. Peachtree Place gives more than $25,000 annually to the Peachtree Place College scholarship fund. Bryant College is located in Providence, Rhode Island and is regarded as one of the country's most prestigious business schools.
